My queen room with powerful AC, view of Kyoto gardens, as for instance was well laid out and great-sized. Its location was absolutely perfect near the railways.

Our stay was really good, really enjoyed gorgeous breakfasts.
The room was well laid out and had private bathroom plus an electric kettle and a refrigerator. Got comfortable bed and high-speed internet access. The hotel was in a central location right between two subway stations on Karasuma line. Lots of restaurants to eat close by, like Panda Yori Nodoka that was only 5 minutes' walk away...

Japan is incomparable when it comes to service, but the staff at the Garden Hotel was a grade higher then the usual. Front desk spoke excellent english as well as the maitre d'hotel at the restaurants. The premise offers many services (hairdresser, church, banquet, etc.) and is right in front of the Imperial Palace and 30 mins by walk of the riyoanji (stone garden). We strongly recommend this establishment.
Existing put few public transportation.

The stay was great, location is good and a short walk to the metro or bus. Our only problem was the rooms were a bit hot and stuffy. It was winter and the heater was on for the building so we couldn't adjust it much and the window in our room Didn't open

Very relaxing stay.
